Bills should be posted online in full so everyone can study the language. The senate should not use reconciliation for this bill. McMahon described an experience where a family member went to a hospital for an MRI, was told it was $1500 and said they could not afford it. The hospital provided the MRI procedure for $600.

Schiff opposes the healthcare bill, there should be no government involvement in healthcare. Consider Medicare, it is a disaster.

Consider lasik, a procedure not covered by most insurance. Consumers have shopped for affordable lasik, and the price has become affordable as a result. Schiff would have people pay out of pocket for most medical treatments, and reserve insurance for catastrophic events and accidents.
